Phase One & Phase Two Development
Avalon's development has the option of building in two phases, or both phases at once depending on the timing of funding. The first phase involves renovating the historic lodge and the main pools area. Ten of the historic cabins are being renovated to be the wellness/massage treatment rooms. A reception building and spa entry building are new construction, and lush landscaping is being implemented in phases with the appropriate seasons. Phase One guestrooms in and around the hot springs include 17 earthen cottages or eco-cabins, 15 tent cabins with redwood view decks, and 9 family yurts.
Phase Two development centers around the upper site, a plateau with with stunning panoramic views a short walk from the hot springs on the lower site. The plateau will be home to several workshop and event spaces of varying sizes including an amphitheatre, conversation paths and gardens, and fitness and hiking trails. A circle of six large yurts provide an intimate space for small groups and workshops, while 10 duplex eco-cabins and 13 tent cabins will enjoy the sweeping views from their redwood decks. A large landscaped warm conversation pool will grace the site, along with a guest services center complete with snack cabana, concierge, and information on guest activities.
